The pairs of capacitors, which protect the Goodmans Midax horns from potentially damaging low frequencies, are all mounted in the lower compartment.

The capacitors are paper in oil, 1uf (1mfd), 500v, the pairs wired in parallel for a total of 2uf.

The XLR socket is mounted on the bottom backboard. Five (six at most) cabinets were produced with this first schema of wiring - two issued to the Beatles, two reserved by JMI for loans and demonstration, and the one (certainly) made at some point November 1964 and paired with serial number 225.
