An all valve Vox MC100/4 (PA100) from early 1967.
Some details of the power section of an all-valve Vox MC100/4 100 watt made by Triumph Electronics in early 1967. General pictures of the amp and a short note on its history can be found on this page. Typical of Triumph, among other things, are the insulated chassis stand-offs, and the provision of a bias adjustment potentiometer for each of the power valves (EL34s).
The transformers are made by Drake. Few relevant component date codes are visible at the moment in the power section. A replaced capacitor has "69/11". Alan Pyne, who serviced the amp in 1979, replaced the original EL34s with Mullards (XF2s) from 1971.
The chassis is stamped "INSPECTED. NO. 2. S.E.L." "S.E.L. may be the company contracted to do the inspecting.
