Some details of the preamp of an all-valve Vox 100 watt made by Triumph Electronics in 1966. General pictures of the amp are on the main 100 watt PA page. Typical of Triumph, among other things, are the orange grommets for the chassis pass-through holes; rivets rather than screws to fix the preamp sockets (as for early AC50s); and the use of red R.T.C. (Reliance Telegraph Company) capacitors.
The original preamp valves remain in place. Component date codes indicate that the amplifier was assembled at some point in the second quarter of 1966. Details of the amp's power section to follow.
Potentiometer with date code "JM" = September 1965.
Date code "B6A5" = fifth week of January 1966.
