On this page and the three pages linked to it, pictures of the first edition (1960) of Shirley Douglas's "Easy Guide to Rhythm and Blues for Bass Guitar". Douglas and Chas McDevitt, her musical partner, were long-time Vox users, appearing in a number of catalogues and flyers, some of which can be found on this page. The copy below was sold in Jim Marshall's shop in Hanwell.
Two further editions followed: 1964, with pictures of Vox amplifiers (in particular the "Transonic") more to the fore; and 1970, text lightly revised, contemporary pictures replacing previous ones and pushing out Vox.
