Review of the BMII Trade Show, August 1969
Published in "Practical Electronics" magazine, October 1969. F.C. (Fred) Judd, the reviewer, had worked in the field of musical electronics since at least 1963, and may have been an admirer of Jennings innovations.
The BMI Fair was an important event. Pre-production models were often exhibited as a means of interesting the public (and dealers) and gauging reaction. The JEI Scrambler pedal seems to been one of those things in 1969.
But the lineage of designs often went back a long way. The rotary foot controller had been developed at JMI, Tom's old company, in the late 1950s.
